Porcelaine.

heyyy, here's a little craft i've done after finding those nice and very rare porcelaine cabochons in a market. I had to shrink it a bit with my tools so it can fit in the settings I had. Et voila!

From the attic.

My grandfather's house attic is full of interesting old stuff like those pieces of lace. It's quite a scary place, as a kid I always used to believe it was haunted ^^.
So, voila my latest gouache inspired by old lace. Now that Iam a big girl, I really enjoy sitting in there and finding old familly treasures.
I hope you guys have a great day!

Vintage Floral.

Good afternoon, here's my latest gouache, painted on wood. We've been to the Salon des Antiquaires de l'Avenue de la Grande Armée on saturday and this is where I got the inspiration for this pendant. There was loads of interesting vintage jewellery and watches. Loved it!

Ladybug.

Hi guys! Here's a tiny little gouache of a ladybug sitting on a rose leaf. I was glad to find out that it is actually possible to paint on a leaf, you just have to put as little water as possible. I hope it'll bring you guys luck! Have a good day!

Cameo.

Hey there! I hope you guys are doing great. The weather is abnormally good here in Paris for this time of the year, so we've been out to the flea market on saturday. I found loads of new inspirations, and fell in love with these mother-of-pearl buttons. The colour combination with the blue cardboard reminded me of a cameo.

Lepidoptera.

Good morning! I just finished this drawing. Pieter gave me the idea of a butterfly when I show him this gorgeous old image that I found at the Clignancourt market. It took me quite a while to create and paint it, but it was, as always a very pleasant time for me, I like doing gouache so much! :)

Correspondance.

This letter was written in 1917 and I have no idea what it all means but I find it so nice, and such a good background for gouache! Some more work very soon! A bientôt!

Calendrier.

I found this 1895 calendar in a market in Geneva (I've been living there for a few months this year) and it inspired me to create this pavé diamond iris.

Post-it war.

There's been a funny trend going on in Paris this summer. The workers at Ubisoft (video games company) started using post-it like pixels to create little characters. Then, the other company in front of them, BNP Paribas responded by trying to design even better characters, and the thing spread out to other companies all over the city. It was very nice for summer workers like me to walk around the city and see all those creative things. So here's my humble contribution to this game. Mine is actually not inspired by video games, or cartoon, but by cross stitching.  XXX

Nathalie Cahuzac. Sunlight.

My best friend Nath's got real musical talent, you must check out her cool video clip shot in Spain. She's super pretty, and I love the vintage mood of this video. It was recorded on a super 8 camera.

Moonstone pendant.

This is an old personnal creation. I wanted to actually make this piece, because I was thaught at school how to make jewellery, and I have all the tools at home, but I was too lazy to do it... It takes so much time!
I really admire the jewellers because I know how difficult it is to acquire the know-how it takes to make a piece that's symetrical, resistant and without scratch! And some fine jewellery pieces are just breath taking! You can have a look at this website which is one of my favorite for jewellery updates.

Prélude.

These are some close-up of one of my drawing. I love to try and paint on different supports, it always gives unexpected results. Here I have been embroiding directly on the paper , which is quite a tricky operation :)
I will post some more of my work very soon!
